Elephone w2 claims an impressive battery

Officially announced last week and finally listed with full specs today, the Elephone W2 gets impressive claimed battery life.

Wearables are still in a beta phase at this time. On one end of the spectrum we have the full smartwatch with all the bells and whistles but very poor battery life, then at the other extreme we have more basic wearables with incredible battery life.
Sure battery life isn’t everything, but as I have learned myself it gets very tiring to remember to recharge your Android Wear watch each day, especially when something like the Mi Band does everything you need and has a 30 day battery life.

The Elephone W2 is a simple wearable, like the Mi Band, but has the added benefit of actually being able to tell the time. Other features include fitness tracking and notifications, but the most impressive feature is the claimed battery life of 3 months! (3 years in standby).

Time is measured the old-fashioned way with a Swiss sourced movements behind a sapphire glass face, the simple hardware is powered by a replacable Maxwell 2032 button battery.

The Elephone W2 will come in either silver or gold metal bodies with options for either a striped wrist band or retro khaki. We will ask Elephone to ship one out to us for a review, but as long as pricing is reasonable it all looks good on paper.
