Having to switch phones and have all of our contacts and data still intact is a very big headache for many people . Many a times ,we come up short retaining our precious data's and contacts because we don't know any safe means of switching without causing damages to our stuffs. Many of us might make use of a personal computer to keep our datas safe but what if in a situation there's no personal computer available ? Well ,with this post ,I will show you how to move your data's and contacts harmlessly from one Android device to another .
HOW CAN I TRANSFER MY DATA'S AND CONTACTS EASILY?
1.The easiest way to transfer data is through your Google account. With a google account ,if you lost your device or spoilt it ,you can easily sign-in on a new device with the same google account and recover all your contacts .it's very useful and should be used by everyone using an android device .
2. Your best bet is to use a cloud-based service to manage your contacts. This includes services like Google Contacts, iCloud, or MS Exchange/Office 365. That way when you change phones, you can simply connect the new phone to your cloud account and you’ok be synced up.
It’s easy to set up on your phone - just create an account for whichever service you choose to use, then follow the instructions on your phone’s ‘Settings’ screen. I for one make use of a Google Contacts and still have alot of contacts I saved as far back as 2010 !!! To enjoy this great Google Cloud option, simply Create a google account and save all the numbers under that account. And don't forget to switch on the sync option in phone.
Now you can sign into that gmail account in another android phone and after syncing the account contacts will be displayed in the contacts or people under that account. If not go to settings in people/contacts app and select contacts to display then you can select all or your specific gmail account then the contacts will be displayed in the contacts or people app.
3. Another method is that you can create vcard and share them across the two phones. Especially useful when you don't want to sign in with your account on the second phone or you contacts are under sim or phone memory in the first phone and syncing of your gmail account won't work.
STEPS:
Go to people or contact app, then select settings or menu button. After then go to export/import contacts ( if there is no export to contacts there may be a button named manage contacts select that, then it will show an option export contact) after selecting export option then select the storage path where you want to save the contacts. Always save the contacts as vcard ( if your phone also shows save as text option).
Either save this vcard on storage card and when this storage card is mounted on other phone you can import it or share this vcard via bluetooth, xender, shareit or via email etc.
Now how to import contact via vcard
Once you send the vcard to the destination mobile, open people or contacts app. Select the settings button or menu button select option import contacts (if doesn't show import in settings there will be another button manage contacts under that will be import contact option).
Select the import contact button in Samsung phones after selecting import option it first asks that under which you want to save the contacts of vcard i.e. phone memory, gmail accounts or samsung account select according to your requirement. Then when you select your option phone will search for vcards in memory then you simply selct the vcard from which you want to add the contacts.
In many phones it first ask to select the vcards after import option and then asks the account under which you want to save the contacts.
4.If you prepare to transfer your contacts from one Android phone to another Android phone, I think you can through the mobile transfer software to help you, then you can quickly transfer the wanted items between two Android phones. To find a reliable mobile transfer software, you can use MobiKin mobile transfer software, it is really simple when you want to copy the files from one phone to another phone.
5.You can use any file sharing app. Like Flashshare, shareit or xender. They allow sharing videos, songs, files, contacts, apps and Documents.
